Both apps make it easy to add photos to the post as above, which is nice and convenient.

Embedding web content

Let us see how easy it is to embed parts of a web page as a quote.

Drag & Drop from the Web (taken from blogsy site)

Drag & Drop from the built-in browser. That’s right, you can drag images and links straight from any web site right into your blog post. You can get embed codes, copy text from other sites and anything else you may want to do in a browser. There is no need to ever leave Blogsy to craft your perfect blog post.

From what I’ve seen so far Blogsy seems stable and could be a nice app for updating content. In my next test post I will try to use a Markdown document to format the text before I edit a story.

Last.fm started offering free trails of their new paid radio station for users outside of the US, UK and Germany.

Now, $3 per month is not a lot of money, but to pay more to listen to internet radio that one does for a TV license is a bit rediculous. Especially if you only listen to last.fm about once or twice per month… I really enjoyed the service, but will not be paying yet another monthly fee for something like this.

I also found one alternative, although it has a weird interface, that seems to be able to play music according to your personal preferences. It’s called Grooveshark.

Anyways, if you have any other suggestions which are available in South Africa please let me know. That means no Pandora / Spotify (which looks like an excellent service once available locally).

This is actually a strange type of post to start with on this blog, but I thought it might be a good idea to share my thoughts with you.

Don’t you find all those interrupting phone calls annoying – you know, people who try to sell you stuff, and so on – while you should be focussing on getting your work done?

Well, I’ve decided to implement a new rule and will stick to it from now on. If I do not have a caller’s phone number in my address book, or if they call me from a “blocked” number, I will simply refuse to answer the call. Simple as that. If it’s important they can leave a voice message and I will call them back. However, if you are in my address book and I am available I will answer your call.

Of course my preferred method would be to make contact via email – that way I can read and reply when it is suitable for me. And these days I am only checking my email twice per day, so that also makes me a bit more productive.

Ok, I’ll have to get back to work now. I have two important projects I need to take care of today. Cheers
